The journey of life creates many forks in the road. Which fork in the road do you consistently travel? Do you take the high road and make an opportunity that bubbles up like a fountain of youth; renewing your spirit with each obstacle conquered? Or, do you take the low road and wallow in your toxic cesspool not learning and becoming more stagnant with each challenge life throws at you?
Life is an ever evolving creation. Even though you are not the artist you can still choose the colors that make it beautiful. Make your life the art you want it to be… Love yourself enough to emulate your own Picasso!

Time Spent vs. Spent Time
Time is the most personal gift you can give. It is non-renewable! Once it is given you cannot ask for it back. So do you spend your time as a precious commodity?
According to Merriam-Webster dictionary time is 1 a: the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues: duration b: a nonspatial continuum that is measured in terms of events which succeed one another from past through present to future. I pose the question; do you understand the concept of time spent vs. spent time? Is there truly a difference?
Time spent deals with consumption. When we consume we are more focused on satisfaction and utilization. Moreover, when we involve those areas we spend more effort planning and making sure we get a return on our investment. Yet does that mean we make every moment planned to be meaningful yet mundane?
We now live in a society where every minute counts. We plan our lives to the nth degree. However, we must plan our free time so it still can entail spontaneity. Creativity is the spice of life and at times we make it up as we go and it can be as beautiful as if it was an immaculate blueprint. Therefore, spent time must happen with purpose in mind and still involve freedom to make it full of the fervor of life.
Keep in mind freedom is the main ingredient of spent time and freedom without boundaries creates chaos. Nevertheless, spent time is when you exhaust up to and including depletion of any resource. Depleting your time is like bankrupting your life. We are compared to vapor regarding our life span in the Bible (James 4:14). So if you think you have time to waste just keep on living and you will look up and have many regrets because time will be running out for you.
Please do not reach your inevitability as a mortal and say, “Oh, why did I spend my time making a living and not a life!” Or, “I shoulda, coulda, woulda have done things differently if I knew my time was so short!” All time is non-renewable but spent time is just a drain on your soul and those you should have given the most.

Does money have the right to be considered as a legacy?
Some say money is a necessary evil…others say money is the root of all evil. Either statement should be challenged. The last time I checked money is necessary to live and the LOVE of money is the root of all KINDS of evil. We constantly try to obtain more through necessity, desire and curiosity. What is it about money that drives us incessantly?
Think about all the education we received from growing up at home, school, religion and etc... How much of it is centered on budget, debt, credit, investment, charity, and wealth management? Not all but many have to learn these from the school of hard knocks. Moreover, even knowing this are we doing a better job changing this for our future generations?
Money is a legacy we pass to our descendants. Therefore, our responsibility should be taken seriously. We have many things we want our lineage to reflect and sound financial management if not already present must be incorporated. You do not have to be a parent to make this difference take place; just a willing aunt, uncle, grandparent, cousin, friend or mentor.
No matter what you think money does convert our lives, how that actually takes place is primarily dependent on each of us as we navigate our financial management arenas. Have you come to any conclusions about money and the impact it has made on your life during the formative years, your practical years, your forthcoming years and beyond?

The legacy of relationships...
How much do your relationships matter to you? When we are young they in many cases are disposable. However as we age and experience life the priority level starts to rise. Or does it really (when we crush a friend’s ambition, take out our frustrations on a parent for their past wrongs, step on a colleague to get ahead, say mean things to a spouse, or shatter a child’s dream)? What will you leave as your legacy when it comes to those you interact with over your life?
One thing commonly shared as we age and face inevitability is what did we accomplish or not with those we love. This is true no matter your class status, wealth level, race, gender, religion or locality. Please ask yourself what those closest to you will say. More importantly what are you leaving behind for them to comment regarding you?
